This Princess Is Getting Her Crown!
One more sleep and I leave for the most magical place on earth - Walt Disney World! I'll be there for four days and one of those days I will be doing something I never EVER thought I'd be saying I'd be doing - running a race! A half marathon at that! The Princess Half Marathon is on Sunday and for the first time in my life, I will be running 13.1 miles (actually, I'm doing a run 3min/walk 2min at an average of 14mpm pace)! I tease my friend whom I'm going with that the dreaded "balloon truck" will be chasing my tail the whole way probably - but as long as I make it over that finish line and get the treasured tiara medal, I'll be happy as a bee in a field of sunflowers!!! I'll be documenting my whole trip with Instagram (instead of my baby, Stella, my Canon 50D). Here are just a few I've taken in preparation:
In honor of the upcoming race, I made a little mini kit called "Run Like a Princess". It's a super fun kit based on bright, modern colors with some fun "running" elements. However, it is also SUPER versatile and can be used for any theme you choose!

Three for one!
So, I recently came to my senses and realized I wasn't making ANY progress on scrapping our March 2012 WDW trip. So, I took a "trip" to Mousescrappers to see if there were any interesting challenges to participate in to get my creative juices flowing! Hooray for three! The first one was a Scraplift challenge and I chose to scraplift a LO that used both B&W AND color pop elements in one single photo. The photo I chose to scrap was taken while visiting "Morocco" in Epcot park and thought that the effect worked well with the theme of the LO!

| {click for CREDITS} The third and final challenge I chose this week was the Weekly Challenge! Those are always fun because you never know what exactly the challenges will be as it varies week from week. The hostess this time decided to focus on the "4th of July" and make it all about "fours". We had to use four of this and four of that (but only ONE hidden Mickey!). I tried to get as creative as I could, including use the word "thump" four times somewhere on the LO - both in the journaling and in the title! I used photos from when we met Miss Bunny at Camp Minnie-Mickey. Read on below: |
